Dust, Dirt & Soot

Soot comes from incomplete combustion of a carbon-based material. Any material that can burn can produce soot and includes natural gas, LP, wood, oil, candle wax, gasoline, tobacco smoke, dust, dirt, and cooking oils. Similar to smoke or ash, soot can be harmful to one's health when inhaled.

Allergens

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America says that indoor air quality is just as important as outdoor air quality. See how the AAFA recommends controlling indoor allergens to improve indoor air quality here. Air filtration and other cleaning devices are the answer to a clean, allergen free home.

3

Mold Spores

Molds reproduce by means of tiny spores; the spores are invisible to the naked eye and float through outdoor and indoor air. Mold may begin growing indoors when mold spores land on surfaces that are wet. Control the spread of mold through proper central air filtration.

Bacteria

The American Society for Microbiology (ASM) is the largest single life science society, composed of over 42,000 scientists, teachers, physicians, and health professionals. See their research where they found that background levels of airborne bacteria and fungi change frequently inside buildings as a result of human activity, especially operation of mechanical air handling systems. Their research highlights just how important air filtration is in one's home.
